Yep, yesterday was Thanksgiving and I ate a lot. Now that we got that out of the way, it’s back to (hopefully) great weather and great shows!
Tonight I’m hanging at home. But if you’re physically able to move and not overly sleepy from ungodly amounts of food and family, head out to Stubb’s. WOXY is kicking off it’s concert series tonight with Neon Indian. Ten bucks gets you in, and it will be worth it!
Tomorrow night I’ll be covering Mega Buzz, the largest rave Texas has ever seen. I’ll be on stage with Above & Beyond, The Glitch Mob, Christopher Lawrence, and a host of other killer DJs trying to stay out of their way to bring you some great pictures of the show. I only get girly for two groups and The Glitch Mob is one of them. Many thanks to Massive Intent for the hook-up again; raves and electronic music may not be your thing, but damn do they throw a party!
Sunday night may or may not see me venture over to Elysium for the weekly 80s dance party. I’ve never been but I hear good things…
And to wrap it up, TwoGroove is co-sponsoring the Mo Stash Bash at The Independent on Monday night. Aside from spectacular local music, there will be free booze, giveaways, and a special guest appearance by an Austin celebrity…you know, other than me. On top of the cool event, it’s also a benefit to raise awareness and funding for men’s health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer. But not liver damage. Apparently, we’re encouraging self-inflicted liver damage with free wine and Maker’s Mark…and I don’t have a problem with that.
