After about a month of transition, Mixx hosted it’s first true night of live music on Friday, July 24th. Hundreds of people lined 6th street waiting for a chance to see the three bands on the bill: The Beat Dolls, HMS Foolhardy, and Silent Alarm Activated. Mixx made money hand over fist and people I’ve never met were shaking my hand, congratulating me on a job well done. Moving through the large venue was made difficult, as the revelers packed both stories to capacity. Both C3 and Transmission Entertainment threw up their hands in defeat: Mixx owned the night.
And then I woke up.
